Clifford Coyman Hackensack High School Yearbook Photo 1944 |
Clifford H. Coyman, Hackensack High School class of 1944, sent me this general information in February 2004, on himself along with information on his two older Brothers Millburn W. Coyman class of 1938 and Ernest Coyman class of 1939. Clifford H. Coyman, after graduating from Hackensack High School, served from June of 1944 to June of 1946 in the Pacific Theater of Operations on board LST’s (Landing Ship Tanks and other large cargo equipment) as a Petty Officer 3rd class. Clifford H. Coyman, after his military service continued his education. Clifford H. Coyman was very close to Tom Meli’s family growing up and graduated with Kathryn Meli, Tom’s sister in 1944. Tom Meli stated that guys made fun of Clifford H. Coyman when he decided to work as a bank teller after the war. All his friends said he would never make any money doing that like he could in construction or some other trade or even in working in Goldberg’s slipper Factory. Clifford H. Coyman went from bank teller in the late 1940’s to President of United Jersey Bank in the 1980’s. Written by: |
